Link of the Week - A Telling Glimpse into the Touring Life

This Instagram post by Christopher Hampson, the artistic director of Scottish Ballet, really caught my eye for exposing just a little bit of the sheer effort that goes into touring a dance show.

It speaks for itself, but by way of background its worth noting that Scottish Ballet started their Nutcracker run on 6 December 2024 and having performed 55 shows across 5 major theatres, the run ended on the 8 February 2025. That’s two months of hard graft for the dancers/company and two months of amazing shows for the audience. Bravo.
